Gotu Kola Kanda
This creamy Gotu Kola Kanda (porridge) is very nutritious and it is particularly good for those with arthritis. Kola Kanda is delicious served steaming hot with a piece of jaggery (palm sugar). You can use any green herbs for this recipe, such as aerva lantana and Asparagus falcatus.

Ingredients:-
| Gotu Kola ( Juice) | 100ml |
| Red/brown rice | 100g / ½ cup |
| Fresh grated coconut/coconut milk | 50g / 50ml |
| Jaggery | 3 Pieces |
| Salt | 1/4 TSP or to taste |
- Wash the Gotu Kola and blend with little water.
- Strain the juice and set aside.
- Rinse the rice well. Add 1 ½ cup water and cook in a pressure cooker for up to 4 whistle.
- Add coconut milk/grated coconut and cook for another 5 minutes uncovered.
- Stir in the gotu kola juice and cook for another one minute.
- Season with salt.
- Serve this hot kola kanda with jaggery.
